QUALITY AND STYLE WITH A CONSCIENCE
I started making furniture by accident.
I made a small bench for tea breaks outside the workshop. It sold the same day.
There is a growing trend of sourcing natural materials that minimise environmental impact. At the same time people are demanding quality furniture, that’s both stylish and sustainable. These two trends have led to increased use of reclaimed timber, prized for its character and aesthetic appeal. Each piece of timber has its own story including notches and nail holes. This also means that no two pieces are identical – nothing is mass produced.
I mainly use reclaimed scaffolding boards, which are a strong and versatile timber. I make outdoor furniture ranging from simple garden benches to complete outdoor seating areas for leisure industry establishments (the Wild Rabbit), as well as display units for shops and offices (Focus Organic, Halesworth), beds, dining room tables, cupboards, bookshelves, rocking chairs, TV units and more.
I have a range of furniture on display in my workshop, and on this site. Browse the gallery below for examples, or if you’re in the are in the area feel free to pop around.
Got something particular in mind? I am happy to discuss your needs, and develop a bespoke design to suit them – your imagination is my limitation.
